I had thought both springs had broke on our oven door because it just fell open with very little resistence. So I bought both. Turns out only one had broke and it wasn't the spring it was the hinge itself. I did install both new assemblies because I wanted equal force on both sides of the door. It's only been a month or so but they are working fine.Up front let me say that I don't think very highly of my 36" viking range. I think that it is in general a poorly engineered machine. I have had to replace multiple stove top igniters, oven igniters, even the broiler igniter and now the oven hinges. The painted numbers on the oven knob disappearance so I had to buy a $40 plastic knob. Can you believe that a $40 plastic knob has painted on numbers? I would say the knob is worth $10 max.The oven door hinges became creaky, squeaky and no longer closed the door fully so I have replaced them. The the old and new hinges are pretty flimsy. I was hoping they had improved them. The main problem seems to be the small pins the the mechanism rotates on. The pin is surprisingly small and appears to wear and become loose in their holes allowing the metal parts to twist and rub.For the price, I think these hinges are flimsy and cheaply made. I would say they are Harbor Freight quality - i.e. they work but not for long.Installing the hinges is really easy once you get past two obstacles. The first is getting the door off the hinges (use your thumbs to hold down the little levers that flip up) and getting the hinges through the oval opening which some designer has made just small enough to make a simple task difficult.Anyway, if you have a Viking oven and the door won't close you only have two choices; buy these hinges or replace the stove. The Viking motto should be "You can't get less for this much money."I installed these hinges on a 20 year old Viking oven. The old hinges would not allow the oven door to close all the way. It now closes like new. Install was quick, fit was perfect and hinges had a Viking label (what I paid for).I used this product to replace the hinges on my Viking range. On one of the hinges the stopper fell off upon installation. The replacement design was POOR. On the original hinge the spring is designed to be out of the way of the mounting screws. On these hinges they used standard springs and the product is manufactured with the springs DIRECTLY in the way of the mounting screws. These hinges fit my Viking stove model VGRC365. You will need to remove the side panels which require the removal of the front bezel in order to install these hinges. I think Viking changed its design since where you can install door hinges without the need to remove the side panel.Would like to have had instructions for install...but I managed anyway.worked flawlessly as replacement and easy to installThe screw holes in the new hinges were too small for the existing screws and there were no screws included with the new hinges.
