Let me preface this review by saying that I am a trombone player, and bought this to hold my trumpet and cornet mouthpieces that I have for my Boy Scout style bugle.This pouch is a lot nicer than it looks in the pictures. I thought it would be cheap, flimsy, and not up to the task of protecting my small brass mouthpieces. Boy was I wrong! The inside of this pouch is lined with a very soft, thick material that keeps the mouthpieces from damaging each other, and is tight enough to keep them inside. The zippered pouch on front is very roomy too, with plenty of room for valve oil, slide grease, and maybe even a mouthpiece brush and a travel sized toothpaste to clean them out with! All in all, a great pouch.Just as a side note, the pouch is pretty wide, measuring about 7 3/4 inches. I'm not sure how comfortable it would be to utilize the belt straps on the back of it...I had purchased a four mouthpiece pouch with the Denis Wick Logo on it, and I liked it. It protected my cornet mouthpieces very well and the zippered front pouch works well for my cornet mp adaptors. I then needed another four mouthpiece pouch for my trumpet mp's and I decided to purchase the protect brand pouch, it was about $5.00 cheaper. When it arrived I compared the two pouches and could not see any difference between the two except for the company brands on them. I really think these pouches are made by the same company and all they do is put the different company names on the pouches and price them accordingly.I just barely need the ability to carry 4 mouthpieces at present, but as I am learning a 2nd instrument, that will no doubt change. This is about as large an item as you would want to carry in a gig bag (really too large for my taste). Ultimately, it is best for carrying in a hard case, or an equipment bag. It is sturdy and well made, and will protect your mouthpieces well.I am completed satisfied with this product. I would have been happier if the case opened through a zipper but the zipper pocket on the outside makes up for it greatly. I use it all the time and it does what it promises. I suggest a product like this for any trumpet player whom has multiple mouthpieces. It's better than letting them fling around in your case damaging you instrument or each other.High quality and easy to carry. Fits perfectly in my trumphet case..Serves the purpose, and it protects the mouthpieces. I have several of these models.A great way to store and protect a selection of small brass mouthpieces. It also has a zip pouch on the back which is just the right size for my electronic tuner.Anything bigger than a trumpet flugalhorn or cornet mouth piece won't fit but protec do a larger version but I don't think amazon stocks it.Fab good price good product quick delivery and great for those days you just can't make up your mind about your fave mouthpiece.
